Fremantle, Western Australia

Fremantle: A 30 min train ride south of Perth, the historic port is bounded by the Indian Ocean and Swan River. It is characterised by heritage architecture, vibrant arts and culture, markets, cafes and restaurants. It has a laid-back yet thriving and multicultural atmosphere, close to some of WA's best beaches, and the summer months see it host an influx of international visitors and performers.

Woodman Point has its own glorious beach and is just 8km south of Fremantle.

Surrounded by Woodman Point Regional Park and with direct beach access, once within the camp the hustle and bustle of city life is forgotten, with only the sounds of the bush and the coastal habitat in the background.

The site has significant historical and cultural importance. Recently the circa-1900 camp buildings were renovated, taking into consideration the buildings' heritage values.

With high ceilings and wooden floors, the accommodation not only reflects the history of the place, but also provides cool, light filled and airy living (and dancing) spaces.

This coastal recreation camp is located at the end of O'Kane Court, Munster, on Woodman Pt. in Cockburn Sound. It is just eight kilometers South of Fremantle - a 35-minute drive from the centre of Perth and a 45-minute drive from the domestic airport.
