West Australian Contact Improvisation Residential 2013

An invitation to a weekend of Contact Improvisation (CI), melt into dancing by the edge of the ocean.

International guest teacher Daniel Mang together with Australian teachers will offer various workshops on CI, including skill development, physical listening, negotiating boundaries, developing movement perception, alongside open jamming and the underscore.

Hosted at Woodman Point, only 10 mins from Fremantle, this quiet coastal location offers two beautiful studios with wooden floorboards. Immerse yourself in a weekend of dance, play and exploration with opportunities to enjoy the natural surrounds and stroll from the studio to the sea.

Open to all levels the workshops will cater for the beginner and provide opportunity for deepening the practice of the experienced improviser. With multiple spaces there are opportunities for labs and open scores throughout the weekend.
